Penetrómetro Analógico - Spectrum
Affordable analog penetrometer for determining soil compaction.
Helps identify compacted layers that may limit root growth and water infiltration. The device includes two rods of different diameters (12.7 mm and 19.05 mm), which can be stored in the tester's housing. An adjustable shock collar on the rod is included to prevent damage to the gauge during transport or storage. The tester can penetrate up to 24” (60 cm), with markings in 3” (7.6 cm) increments.
Benefits
- Compared to more advanced or electronic alternatives, it is an affordable solution for evaluating soil compaction.
- Enables informed decisions about soil management practices, such as aeration or soil preparation corrections.
- The analog design is simple and practical, allowing for quick field measurements without the need for electronic devices.
- Two rod diameters for testing soils with different textures.
