Warm climate Cespitosa (C4), which needs a soil temperature of 18oC to germinate, losing colour below 10oC although some leaves remain green even in frosty conditions. Very slow to establish. Growth in the form of rhizomes and stolons. Highest resistance to heat, drought and salinity. Moderate resistance to trampling. Minimal maintenance. Needs a few mowings per year.
